Ionia Sentinel-Standard
Fay G. Knight, 74, of 6676 Morrison Lake Road, Saranac, died early Friday 
morning in Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids.  Death was attributed to 
advanced age.  Born in Highland, September 27, 1897, he made his home in the 
Saranac area for the past 29 years where he was a self-employed electrician.  
Before moving to the Saranac area he attended school in Brighton.

Surviving are his wife, Emma of Saranac; one son Fay Jr., of Tuscola, Ill.; 
three daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Hall of Brighton, Mrs. Dorothy Pack and Mrs. Doris 
Murningham of Howell; four brothers, Glenn of Hamburg, Roy of Harrison, Leon of 
Lapeer and Clarence of Brighton; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Seigle of Brighton, 
Mrs. Morine Skelton of Hilllman, Mrs. Bertha Zelony of Pontiac, and Mrs. Eva 
Howell of Hamburg; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The body is at Morris-Roetman funeral home in Saranac where services will be at 
11 am October 25, the Rev James Frank of Galilee Baptist church officiating.  
Graveside services will be conducted at 3 pm in Brighton’s Fairview cemetery.
