Joyce L. Kohagen, 48, of Ionia, passed away suddenly on May 28, 2000.  She was 
born July 20, 1951, in Coldwater, the daughter of LaVern and Edith (Jones) 
Eaton.  She went on to marry Daniel Kohagen on Sept. 27, 1975.

She loved her yard and gardening and friends and family.  She had a C.B. handle 
of Johnny.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Kohagen of Ionia; son, David Kohagen of 
Ionia; daughter, Susan Kohagen of Ionia; brothers, Keith and Linda Beaton of 
Ionia and David Eaton of Ionia; sisters, Mildred and Carl Burns of Mississippi, 
Viva and Clare Valentine of Ionia; many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place upon her request and there will be a memorial service 
held on Thursday June 1, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Pastors Brad Lambert and David White officiating.  Anyone wishing may make 
memorial contributions to family choice.
