                                ANDREW KOLE

CLARKSVILLE- Andrew Kole, 83, of 179 Ferney Street, Clarksville, died Friday at 
the Thornapple Manor in Hastings.

He was born  Sept, 12 1905, in Newaygo County, the son of Cornelis and Neeltje 
(Hoekman) Kole.

He graduated from Freemont High School in 1924.

He married Venus DeBrot in Pentwater in 1928; she preceded him in death in 1957.

He married Esta Stuart in Clarksville in April 1959.

He lived and farmed in Dayton Township most of his life, and moved to 
Clarksville in 1970.

He was a member of the Clarksville Bible Church, and a past member of the First 
reformed Church of Fremont.

He served on the Fram Bureau and Independent Milk Producers Boards.

Surviving are his wife, Esta; one son, Robert Kole of Fremont; one 
daughter,Mrs.Phil (Betty) Shetterly of Lake Odessa; four stepsons, Willis Stuart 
of Portland, Lester Stuart of Clarksville, Richard Stuart of Lowell, and Donald 
Stuart of Lowell; one step-daughter, Lois Willison of Saranac; two sisters, 
Nellie DeWeerd of Irving, Calif., and Christine DeWeerd of Fremont; several 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Earl Kole in 1958, a stepson, Wayne Stuart, 
one brother,Benjamin Kole, and one sister, Susie Hekhuise.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 2, 1989, at 1:30 p.m. at the 
Clarksville Bible Church, the Rev. Larry Pike officiating.

Burial will be in Jewell Cemetery in Freemont.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Clarksville Bible Church.

Friends may visit the family Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Koops Funeral 
Chapel, Clarksville.
