LAKE ODESSA – Alvin Eugene Kruger, 57, of 635 Second Street, Lake Odessa, died 
Sunday at his residence.

He was born August 14, 198, in Wakefield Mich., the son of Paul and Cecelia 
Pellran Kruger. He attended school in Wakefield, was a veteran of World War II 
and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4461 in Lake Odessa.

He married Mable Moe on August 17, 1973, in Lake Odessa. He was employed by the 
Pewter Brass Manufacturing Company in Lake Odessa for several years.

Surviving, besides his wife Mabel, are four stepsons, Clarence Johnson of 
Florida; Ernest Johnson of Georgia; Jerry Johnson of Lake Odessa and Larry 
Johnson, also of Lake Odessa.

One Step-daughter in law, Sandra Johnson of Lake Odessa; five brothers, Gerald 
Kruger, Don Kruger and William Kruger, all of Lake Odessa, Clarence Kruger of 
Hastings; Russell Kruger and Raymond Kruger, both of Woodland. 

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, for great-grandchildren and several nieces 
and nephews.

Preceding him in death were one stepson, Allyn Johnson; a step-granddaughter, 
Barbara; one sister, Isabel; and two brothers, Lloyd and Ervin.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake 
Odessa. 

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Lake Odessa VFW post and the Lake 
Odessa Ambulance.

The family will be at the funeral home Monday, from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, from 
2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
