Mrs. Kruger passed away at the O’Berry Convalescent Home in Ionia Sunday, March 2, following a six-weeks’ illness. Rev. Harold Homer officiated at the services which were in charge of the Burns Funeral Home of Carson City. Interment was made in the Muir cemetery. Mrs. Kruger, the former Jessie Bivins, was born at Hubbardston November 11, 1875. She married Leonard Kruger in 1900 and they spent most of their lives in Ionia county, living for a time at Balding and also Maple Rapids. She moved to Hubbardston in 1933. Mrs. Kruger was a member of the Hubbardston Methodist church. Surviving are four sons, Earl of Hubbardston, Fred and Ken of Grand Ledge and Don of Holt; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Hill of Muir, and Mrs. Dorothy Gladding of Ionia; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Bivins of Belding and James of Clare; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Wright of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Audrey Horting of Coopersville.
