Lake Odessa Wave - Times - January 21, 1954
          MRS. CHARLES LAPO LIFELONG RESIDENT DIED TUESDAY EVE
   Mrs. Charles Lapo 86, passed away at her home Tuesday evening after a short
illness.  A lifelong resident of 
this area she had lived in the present home for the past 55 years.  A graduate of
Portland high school. Mrs. 
Lapo was a rural school teacher before her marriage.
   A member of the Central Methodist Church she was active in church and civic
affairs until past 80 years of 
age.  She had also been a Sunday School teacher most of her life.
   Surviving are the husband, three daughters Mrs. John (Veda) Blickenstaff of
Plymouth, Mrs. Aubrey 
(Hildred) Davis and Mrs. Dean (Opal) Dodge; one son Clair and a sister Miss Reava
Bishop all of Lake Odessa 
and three grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. at the Pickens funeral
chapel with burial in Lakeside 
cemetery.
