She was born in Germany and came to this country with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Breuer, when she was 1½ years of age. They settled in the vicinity of Belding and she had lived in that neighborhood for 45 years after her marriage. She was the widow of Frank Laux who died in 1928. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church and the Rosary society and was a charter member and secretary for five consecutive years of the Blue Star Mothers. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Malone of Belding and Mrs. Martin Mason of Luther; four sons, Edward of Lowell, Clarence at home, Theodore of Pontiac, and Arthur of Belding; twelve grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. George Scheid of Belding; and four brothers, Joseph and Matt of Beal City, Nick of Shepherd and John of Mt. Pleasant. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
