Ionia County News - Thursday, Feb. 6, 1930

HUBBARDSTON- Funeral services for James Loftus, 69, who died at his residence, 
north east of town Tuesday morning were held from St. John church Friday 
morning with Rev. Fr. Flanagan officiating. The funeral sermon was delivered by 
Rev. Fr. Thomas Beahan. Mr. Loftus was a life-long resident of Hubbardston and 
vicinity, having lived in Lyons during boyhood. He was united in marriage to 
Miss Etta McMillian twenty-five years ago. He is survived by a sister, Miss 
Margaret Loftus, and an adopted son, John Loftus of Chicago.
