Esther Louise Longdike
IONIA - Esther Louise Longdike, 64, of Ionia, died at her home on Friday, July 21,
1995.

She was born in Lowell on April 8, 1931 the daughter of Chris and Pearl (Comstock) 
Neilson. She married Ray Longdike, who died in March, 1987. She was an assembler at
the Frigidaire Corp. of Greenville, retiring in 1992.

She is survived by sons; Arthur (Tammie) Longdike, of Ionia, and Rodney (Melinda) 
Longdike, of Ionia; brothers Russell (Ida) Neilson, William (Greta) Neilson, and
Harold (Della ) Neilson, all of Ionia, Everett (Wanda) Schalow, of Belding, and Ronald (Virginia)
of Fenwick; sisters; Eleanor Geister, of Morley, Colleen Merren, of Kansas, and Shirley
(Dale) Loree, of Belding; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son,
one daughter, two brothers, two sisters, and her parents.

Funeral services will be Monday, 11 a.m. at Hull memorial Chapel in Muir. Rev. Jim 
Houseman of the Temple Baptist Church of Ionia will be officiating. Burial will be
at Danby Cemetery.

Family will receive friends and relatives Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Contributions toward the Memorial Fund for the Ionia Hospice
may be left at the Funeral Home.
