He was born January 19, 1892, in Ionia, the son of William and Mary Kenny Longe. Mr. Longe attended SS. Peter and Paul school and married the former Mary Sheehan in 1924. Mr. Longe was employed at the Detroit fire department and at the Michigan Reformatory in Ionia from 1937 to 1962, retiring as a prisoner administrator. e served with the Navy during World War I. Mr. Longe was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife; one son, Dr. William G. Longe; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (rosemary) Dudenhoefer of Elm Grove, Wisconsin; one brother, Daniel of Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Mary Louise) Korber of Toledo, Ohio and eight grandchildren. Funeral mass is Monday at 10 am from SS. Pater and Paul church with Rev. Father Henry Dondzilla officiating. Rosary will be recited Sunday at 7 pm at the Leddick funeral home. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Sunday 7 to 9 pm. Burial is in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Additional Comments: Age: 85 Funeral: Monday 22 August 1977 Mt.
