Ionia Daily Sentinel, page 1, 14 Sep 1918

Sarah Greenhoe Ludwick was born in Crawford county, Ohio, May 30, 1848.  When a
small girl she moved with her parents to the state of Illinois where she lived
until Aug. 29, 1969, at which time she was married to John H. Ludwick of Ionia
county.  to this union was born six children, all of whom with the aged husband
are left to mourn the loss of a kind and devoted wife and mother.  Fred of St.
Johns, Stephen, Lizzie, and Rose of Matherton, Jennie of Sheridan and Cora of
Sunfield, besides 17 grandchildren and a host of friends.  At the age of 19 she
joined the M.E. church and was faithful to the end.  She passed to her reward
Aug. 31, 1918, from her late home in Matherton.  Precious in the sight of the
Lord is the death of his saints.
