Born May 22, 1949 in Grand Rapids,MI, daughter of Ronald & Blanche Mahar. Graduated from Belding High School & earned her nursing degree from Montcalm Community College. September 22, 2006, Becky married Jim VanSprange at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas. Becky began her career as a nurse at Belding Hospital until it closed in 1989. After she practiced as a private surgical nurse for Dr. Ken Markiewics, ENT specialist for several years. Finishing her career with Priority Health. Becky & Jim lived at Long Lake before moving to Allendale. Survived by her husband, Jim VanSprange, sons, Jamie (Deanna) McNinch of Rockford, & Jon (Jenny) McNinch of Belding; daughters, Carmen (Dave) Punches of Belding, and Jinnifer (Guy) Davis of Rockford, stepsons, Kevin (Kathy)VanSprange Bryan (Jenny) VanSprange & Jeremy Van Sprange; grandchildren; Dannyelle(Daniel)Tuthill, Micheal (Becky) Stephan, Ana Davis, Geta Davis, Kenny Dahl, Lucas McNinch, Gabe McNinch, Olivia Stephan, Ronny (Gilbert) Tanguma, Jeffrey (Hally) McNinch, Alexandria McNinch, Mia McNinch, Brandon VanSprange, Carter VanSprange, Whitney (Marco) Dominquez,; her best friend, Kathy (Joe) Kilduff; several great-grandchildren & special nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Ronald & Blanche Mahar; father & Mother-in-law Leonard & Trudy VanSprange; her sister; Brenda Tran; brother-in-law, Alan Tran & son, Luke Robert McNinch. Funeral services on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Hurst Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Hulford officiating. After the service was a short graveside ceremony followed by a luncheon at the Candleston Inn.
