Donald R. Martin, 66, of Ionia died July 7, 1997 at his residence.  He was 
born Sept. 8, 1930 in Ionia, the son of Harry and Helen (Gates) Martin.  He 
graduated from Ionia High School in 1948.  He was a member of the Ionia Open 
Bible Church.  He married Mary Reisbig on July 10, 1950 in Ionia.

He is survived by his father, Harry (Jessie) Martin of Ionia; wife, Mary 
Martin of Ionia; three sons, Ronald R. (Barbara) Martin Jr. of Charlotte, 
Roger M. (Toni) Martin of Holton and John A. (Stacy) Martin of Ionia; 
daughter, Karen S. (Steve) Yarrington of Ionia; two brothers, Gerald (Helen) 
Martin of Cheyenne, Wy. and James (Gloria) Martin of Eaton Rapids; three 
sisters, Joan Hickok of Ionia, Lucille (Don) Bates of Ionia and Nancy (Walter) 
Gale of Plymouth; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at the Lake Funeral Home, Ionia 
with Rev. Rick Martin officiating.  Interment will be in Easton Cemetery.  
Visitation will be at the funeral home Weensy 7-8:30 p.m.  Anyone wishing may 
make memorial contributions to the Donald Martin family.
