Ruth L. (Popo) Martin, 96, of Lyons, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2003 at 
Heartland Health Care Center in Ionia.  She was born May 7, 1907 in Lyons, the 
daughter of Edward and Bessie Allen.  She has resided at Heartland Health Care 
since 1985 following a stroke.  Ruth will be remembered for her lifetime of 
playing the piano.

She is survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-
nephews, who will sadly miss her.  She was preceded in death by two brothers; 
Gardner Allen, Stanley Allen; and four sisters, Margaret Mourer, Norma Bishop, 
Nellie Holaday and Kathleen Beebe.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lake Funeral Home in Muir with 
the Rev. Ken Harger of Shiloh Community Church officiating.  Visitation is 1 
p.m. Wednesday until time of service.  Interment Lyons Cemetery.
