The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, December 15, 1930

William Maxwell, 81, of Saranac, died Monday morning at the home of his 
daughter, Mrs. O. Monks of the infirmities of old age.  The funeral services 
will be held Wednesday, the hour and place not determined and the interment 
will be in the Saranac cemetery.

Mr. Maxwell was a native of Canada.  He came to Michigan when a boy and had 
lived in the vicinity of Saranac for 50 years.  Besides the daughter, he 
leaves two sons, Arthur, of Ionia, and Irvin, of St. Johns.
