Oct. 23, 1943 PATRICK McNAMARA Patrick McNamara, 77, died Saturday morning at 5:45 o'clock at his home at 629 West Washington street. Through he had been in ill health for several months, he was only seriously ill about three days. Born May 10, 1866, at Bally McKeough, County Tipperary, Ireland, he left Ireland when he was 19 years old and landed in Massachusetts. From Massachusettes he went to Chicago where he was married to Miss Katie Graney, who survives him. From Chicago he came to Ionia and joined the Ypsilanti Reed Furniture company as foreman at the time of their organization. He was connected with that organization until he retired in 1926. Surviving besides the widow are four children, John of Charlotte, Martin, Margaret and Mrs. William J.Crowley of Ionia, four grandchildren; a brother and two sisters who reside in Ireland. Requiem mass will be sung by Rev. Fr. John S. Fons, Tuesday morning, at 9:15 o'clock at SS. Peter and Paul church. The body will repose at the residence until time for service.
