Soldier’s Home. Miss Mitchell was born October 6th, 1875 in Ohio, and came with her parents to Hubbardston when a small child. Miss Mitchell was a pharmacist at Sparta for a number of years before joining the pharmacist’s staff at the Michigan Soldier’s Home in 1927. She served under five commandants and had the respect of her superiors and patients. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club and was active in church activities. Funeral services were held from the First Methodist church, Grand Rapids at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The body was brought to Hubbardston and laid to rest in the West Side cemetery. Miss Mitchell is survived by one sister, Mrs. John G. Anderson of Muskegon and several nieces and nephews.
