Nov. 29 & Wed. Dec. 1, 1971 Mrs. Mary Mutch, 88, former Ionia resident, died Monday morning at Carmel Hall, Detroit. She was born in Lexington, Ky., December 15, 1882, and moved to Ionia in 1912. A member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic church she also belonged to its Rosary society. Her husband, John Bernard Mutch died in 1938. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Josephine McGannon of Sterling Heights and Mrs. Theresa Lyle of Traverse City; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral mass will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic church. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery. Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at Myers-Roetman funeral home. Mrs. Mary Mutch Ionia Sentinel Standard – Wed. Dec. 1, 1971 Requiem high mass for Mrs. Mary Mutch, who died Monday was delivered by Msgr. Edward Jaworowicz Wednesday at 10 a m at SS Peter and Paul Catholic church. Included among her survivors are a brother, Otto Fischer; two sister, Mrs. Edward Shannon and Mrs. Elizabeth Schneider, of Lexington, Ky. After moving to Ionia area in 1912, she was employed at Carten department stores and Darling dry cleaners on South Depot. Her last place of employment in Ionia was at Myers funeral home. Interment was at Mt. Olivet cemetery. Bearers were William Crowley, Leo McAlary, Patrick and John McGannon, John Fravel and Glen Lile. Additional Comments: Mrs. John Bernard Mt.
