LEONA NOBIS

Died August 18, 2026-age 84 of Muir,MI.
Born August 16, 1942 in Fenwick, MI daughter of Marshall & Sarah Jane(Jenks) 
Piper.
She went to school in Palo during elementary years & graduated from Ionia High 
School with Class of 1960.
Married Gordon Nobis on October 14, 1961 & together they raised 4 children.
Leona has traveled to 49 of the United States.
Survived by her husband, of 64 years, Gordy, of Muir, sons, Dwayne Nobis and 
Michael Nobis, daughters,Peggy Nobis & Wendy Hewett. Grandchildren; Mark Nobis, 
Andrew Nobis, Nicholis Nobis, Alexander Hewett, Trevor and Bailey Hewett, great-
grandchildren,Dakota, Miranda, Nolan and Lainey, Sisters: Joan (Chuck) Howorth, 
Patsy (Leo) Fisher, Debbie (Brice) Hesche and Diane Piper, sisters-in-law; Judy 
Piper and Vickie Piper.
Preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Harry and Gary.
Funeral services will be att Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Monday, August 25, at 
11L00a.m. 
Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visitation on Monday, 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
