Excerpts from Sand Lake Obituary

LD.NORTON

Died Saturday August 22, 2026-age 60 of Sand Lake,MI.
Born February 22, 1966 in Belding, MI.,son of Janice Norton & the late Walter 
Ray Norton Sr.
Served his country in the United States Marine Corp.
LD was a big kid at heart, making family gatherings more fun, the ultimate 
"funcle", the fun Uncle. 
His greatest pride and joy was his family.
He loved hunting & fishing, being out doors.
Survived by his mother,Janice Norton, his son, Ilex (Brittany)Norton, his 
daughter, Whitney (Chris) Hammond, & his five beloved grandchildren, Octobyr, 
Roarke, Idalia, Alice and Scarlett, his brother, Walter Ray Norton Jr., sister, 
Linda Lehman, Nieces, Brooke (Tyler) Case, Taylor Lehman, & Lindsay Lehman 
(fiance Blake Fisher), great-nephews, Ross, Taiden, Mason, Owen & Ryker.
Preceded in death by his father, Walter Ray Norton Sr.  
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from noon to 
3:00pm at the Pierson Fire Barn, 190 Grand St., Pierson, MI 49339.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that the Memorial contributions be made in 
LD's memory to Jayden Lamb Memorial Foundation, P.O box 1083, Midland, MI 48641,
helping bring hope, comfort & support to children battling cancer & their 
families.
