Lyons Herald, 11 Sep 1919

Word has been received by Lyons relatives from Mrs. W. J. Owen of Flint that her 
husband died at a sanitarium in Pontiac where he had been receiving treatment for 
the past three and a half years.  The body was brought to Lyons last night and 
burial will be made here.  Mrs. Owen is a daughter of Wilbur Etson of this 
village.  Mr. Owen was known to a number of our people, having been employed in 
the general store of M.A. Herrick many years ago.
