Russell Parker, aged 71, of Ionia passed away December 16, 2014.  He was born 
October 9, 1943 in Detroit the son of Ira Russell and Cora A. (Hansen) Parker. 

Russell was a very active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ionia 
where he was a Deacon and involved with many other Church Activities.  He was a 
sports enthusiast that enjoyed the Tigers and Redwings. 

Russell is survived by his children, Troy (Jill) Parker of Ionia and Gretchen 
(Tim) Ward of Saranac; sisters, Jean (George) Haley of Dowagiac, Pat (Frank) 
Cruttenden of Delton and Janice Smith of Linden; grandchildren, Brittni Parker 
and Fiance’ Brandon Ford of Ionia, Mitchell Parker of Ionia, Tyler Ward of 
Saranac, Sam Ward of Saranac and Drew Ward of Saranac.  He was preceded in 
death by his parents. 

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 at the 
Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ionia.  Visitation will be on Thursday 4-7 p.m. 
at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  Those wishing may make memorial contributions 
to Russell’s Family.
