Pinnow Sr., 74, of 658 Rich street died Sunday morning at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids where he had been a patient since New Year’s Eve. He was born October 5,1880 in Germany, the son of Julius and Emma Pinnow. In 1902 he was married to Ida Falk who died in 1917. Mr. Pinnow came to American in 1910 and settled in Ionia. In 1918 he was married to Anna Melzow who survives him. Mr. Pinnow was an employee of the Michigan Bell Telephone Company for 36 years and at one time was manager at Fort Washington, Wisconsin. He retired June 9, 1940 and returned to his present home. He was a member of St. Jon’s Lutheran church, the Elks lodge and the Telephone Pioneers. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Schneider of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Harold Retzer of Fort Washington, Wis., two sons, William Jr., of Grand Rapids and Verner of Ionia; three grandchildren; one brother, Herman Pinnow of Ionia. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Stone- Kauffman funeral home with the Rev. Eric Cash officiating. Interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.
