Born March 28, 1871 in Portland, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nichols Pasche and was a Gold Star Mother in Portland. A lifelong resident of Portland she was married to Peter Pung in the same area. She was preceded in death by her husband. Surviving are Mrs. Catherine Carpenter of Ionia, a daughter; five sons, Albert and George Pung of Portland, Richard Pung of Pewamo; Earnest and Herman at home; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Nicholas Pasche of Portland and Matt Pasche of Lansing. Friends and relatives are being received at the residence, route two, Portland, Barnes road. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at 8 o’clock at St. Patrick’s Catholic church in Portland and interment will be in the Portland cemetery.
