Staff Sgt. Paul W. Ramey, 29, died Saturday evening as a result of injuries 
received in an auto accident at Oscoda.  Sgt. Ramey has been in the service 
since he was 17 and was recently awarded the air force commendation medal for 
meritorious service in Vietnam.  The medal was presented him at Wurtsmith AFB, 
Oscoda, where he was serving at the time of the accident.

He was born August 4, 1940 at Feds Creek, Ky., and attended Feds Creek high 
school.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Madeline Ramey of Keansburg, N.J., a daughter, 
Rose Ann; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Miller of Portland; brother, Robert 
Ramey of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Mrs. Rita Kling of Portland, Mrs. Anne 
Hull of Holt and Mrs. Deborah Miller of Portland.

Military services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Neller funeral home in 
Portland.  Rev. Maurice Christenson of Portland Baptist church will officiate 
and interment will be at Portland cemetery.
