Mrs. John Rasmussen, 69, of Orleans died suddenly Thursday morning at 10:30 
o’clock at the Belding Community hospital where she was taken in a critical 
condition a week ago.  She had been in ill health for many months.

She was born February 21, 1873 at Gowen and March 14, 1894 was married to John 
Rasmussen.  The couple made their home in Montcalm county near Trufant until 
1913 when they moved to Orleans.

Surviving besides her husband, John, are two sons, Peter and Viggo Rasmussen 
of Alpena; one daughter, Mrs. Esther Hall of Belding; nine grandchildren; one 
sister, Mrs. Florence Sorensen of Greenville; three brothers, George and 
Rudolph Nielson of Trufant and Henry Nielson of Ludington.  Five children 
preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Holy Cross 
Lutheran church in Belding.  Rev. R. W. Mohrhardt will officiate and burial 
will be in Orleans cemetery.  The body will repose at the church from 12 until 
2 o’clock.
