JOHN RAYMOND
John Raymond, 77, a former Ionia County resident, died Thursday evening in his home
in Belding following an illness of several months,, He was born January 8,1867 in
Lapeer county and had spent nearly his entire life in Ionia county, where he was engaged in
farming.

He was married to Miss Fannie Smith of Ionia, who is a sister of Byron L.Smith, West
Lincoln avenue. The couple would have observed their 52nd wedding anniversary in 
October.

He is survived by his widow, fannie; seven children,Alton Raymond and Frank Raymond
of Greenville; Mrs Ggeorge Sergeant of Ionia, Mrs. Ellsworth Hall of Portland, Mrs.
Norman Wood of Muskegon, Mrs. Jesse Sergeant of Belding and Mr. Albert Peterson of Belding;
three brothers, Bert Raymond and Fred Raymond of South Dakota and Edward Raymond of
Washington state.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Fitzjohn
funeral home, Belding. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery, Ionia.
