Harry L. Riddle, 77, a former Smyrna resident now living at 308 East Oak, 
Greenville, died Sunday morning at the United Memorial extended care facility 
at Greenville.  

Born April 5, 1898, at Harrisonberg, Va., he had lived in Belleville before 
coming to Smyrna.  He was a retired farmer and member of the Belding F&AM 
lodge and also the Rain or Shine club of Greenville.

Among his survivors are his wife, Myrtle; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia 
Rickert and Mrs. Tommy Brown of Belding and Mrs. Barbara Bissell of Wyoming; 
stepdaughter, Mr. Ethel Farnsworth of El Paso, Texas; son Harry Riddle, Jr., 
of Sheridan and a stepson Winaford Eldridge of Greenville; 13 grandchildren 
and eight great grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Charles M. Courser funeral home 
of Belding.  Rev. Eugene Lewis will officiate.  Committal services will be 
under the auspices of the Masonic lodge of Belding.  Interment will be at the 
Smyrna cemetery.  Visitation hours at the funeral home are Monday from 7 to 
8:30 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m.
