She was born November 12, 1948 in Hart, the daughter of George and Betty Crisman Hoffman. Connie was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, the Belding Order of the Eastern Star, the Washington Club and she attended First congregational Church, Belding. She and her husband Chuck served as foster parents to a number of children. Connie will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was married on December 5, 1967 in Arlington, Virginia to Charles Rose III. She was preceded in death by her parents and a foster daughter, Martha Brown. She is survived by her husband, Charles Rose III; their children, Sharyl Wentworth, Brenda and Bryan Bannister, all of Belding, Kendra and Kevin Rickle of Greenville, Miriam and Jeff Webster of Traverse City; foster daughter, Amanda Peavey, at home; grandchildren, Tricia, Kenneth Corren, Holly, Denise, Jessica, Nathan, Kalina, Joey and Logan; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Juanita and Ralph Beaman, Ida and Ricky Gutierrez, George Jr. and Lynn Hoffman, all of Ogden, Utah; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Linda Rose of Carson City, Nevada, Miriam and George Harcek of Perrinton, Becky Buttruman and Al Wilson of Tucoma Lake, Paul and Mary Lou Rose of St. Petersburg, Florida. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Congregational Church, Belding, with the Rev. Dr. Dick Woodward officiating. Interment is in River Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church, Belding.
