Ionia Sentinel Standard, 12 Sep 1984

Beulah North Rudolph, 79, of Woodland Hills Calif., died Sept 10 at Rochester
Hospital in Minnesota, after a brief illness.  She was born and raised in Ionia,
the daughter of Gertrude and Bert North.  She wrote high school sports news for
the Ionia Sentinal-Standard and was high school class valedictorian.  She
married Edward A. Rudloph in 1924, and she graduated from The University of
Michigan in 1926, with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.

She and her husband moved to Aberdeen, So. Dak., in November 1933.  In 1950, the
Rudolphs bought a farm, which she managed, near Mina Lake, So. Dak.  She was one
of the first people to introduce Angus cattle and Suffolk sheep to South Dakota.
 She also owned and managed a florist shop in Aberdeen for several years.  after
their retirement in 1976, the Rudolphs moved to California.

Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Sept. 13, at Roetman Funeral Home in
Ionia.  Burial will be at Easton Township Cemetery.  Dr. Rudolph, who died and
was cremated a year will be buried there also.

She is survived by four children: Mary R. Vidich, Gilbert T. Rudolph, Julia R.
Kleppin, and Stephen E. Rudolph; as well as eight grandchildren, four
step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and six step-great-grandchildren.
