Ionia Sentinel Standard, 28 Mar 1990

Esther Grace Sandborn, 75, of 320 Summit St., Saranac, died early Tuesday
morning.  She was born in Saranac June 17, 1914 to Ernest and Eva (Stark) Barber.

She was a member of the Saranac Community Church; American Legion Auxiliary of
Saranac; and past secretary-treasurer of Saranac Protective.  She graduated from
Saranac High School in 1932.

She married Earl F. Sandborn Nov. 9, 1937 in Ionia, who preceded her in death
July 25, 1986.  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Cliff (Nancy) Whisler of
Indiana; two grandchildren, Candi and Christopher Young; and two nieces and one
nephew.  One sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Saranac Community Church with
the Rev. Stanley Hagemeyer officiating.  Burial will be in Saranac Cemetery. 
Friends may visit the family at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac 2-4 and 7-8:30
p.m. Thursday.  Anyone wishing may make contributions to the Saranac Community
Church Building Fund or Star Commonwealth.
