Oct. 7, 1971 Services Friday for Harry N. Searing Harry N. Searing, 83, of Lansing, former lake Odessa resident, passed away early Wednesday morning at the Extendicare, Inc., Rest Home at Lansing following a long illness. He had been a patient in the rest home for the past two years. He was born at Lyons June 25, 1888, the son of Melvin and Clara (Hatch) Searing, and was a graduate of Lyons High school. Aug. 15, 1916, he was married to F. Jeannette Wilco, Ludington and they resided at Lake Odessa while he was employed by the Allen Behler Livestock Auction from 1938 to 1952. They moved to St. Johns, where he was employed by the Prince Co. Livestock, also the Egan Motor Sales before his retirement. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Louise) Clark of Lansing and Mrs. Virginia Williams of Laguna Beach,Calif.; one son, LeRoy of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Searing reposes at Pickens funeral chapel, lake Odessa, where funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. Rev. Richard Bayles of the congregational Church of Portland will officiate, with burial in lakeside Cemetery.
