He had been taken by a severe attack of appendicitis earlier in the day and was in a critical condition. Mr. and Mrs. Shamp have resided near Long lake for the past five years. Surviving are his wife; two children, six and eight years of age, and two brothers, John of Prairie Creek, and Edward, Hackett street. Funeral services will be conducted from the Myers funeral home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock with interment at the family lot at North Plains cemetery.
