She was born September 16, 1887 in Bushnell township, Montcalm county and spent her early life in the Fenwick area. She was in the teaching profession 37 years, 20 of which was as county superintendent of schools of Iosco County at Tawas City She returned to Fenwick in 1948. Mrs. Shaw was a member of Methodist Church of Fenwick and WSCS, NRTA and 20th Century club of Tawas and Michigan Education Association. Funeral Service will be conducted at Fenwick Methodist church at 2 p.m. Sunday with interment at Palo cemetery. The body will be at Stebbins funeral home I Sheridan until time of service. Officiating will be the Rev. Jean Crabtree of Howard City and the Rev. Lee G. Long of Sheridan. Survivors include two cousins, Frank Worden of Fenwick, and Robert Worden of Fairview, Mont.
