GARY EUGENE SHEAFFER, 73
Gary Eugene Sheaffer, 73, of Muir, passed away Feb. 28, 2018. He was born on Sept.
17, 1944, in Carson City, the son of Maxwell and Geraldine (Kieefer) Sheaffer. Gary
worked for GM for 30 years. He was an active member of Great Lake's Buckskin Horse Association
and loved to show horses. He also loved to farm and had a passion for raccoon hunting.
He married Dianne Patterson on Aug. 10, 2000.

Surviving Gary are his wife Dianne Sheaffer of Muir; son Gary (Kendra) Sheaffer II
of Wyandotte; daughters Brenda (Rich) Hawley of Grand Rapids, Paula (Jerry) Linse of
Great Falls, Mont., Lora (Charles) Batchelor of Shiloh, Ga.; brother Richard "Dick"
(Sandy) Sheaffer of Muir; sister Carol Sheaffer; grandchildren Gary "Tripp", Chase, Emily,
Hayley, Brandy; great-grandchildren Broday and Taylor, and special nieces on nephews, Rusty
, Debbie, Denise and Teresa. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James 
"Jimmy" Sheaffer and grandson, Richard Allan Hawley II.

A celebration of life will be held at St.John the Baptist Church Hall in Hubbardston
on Wednesday, March 7,  from 11 a.m. -2 p.m.. Those wishing may make memorial 
contributions to the family and the family will gift to their favorite charity.
