Hasting's Reminder - Sat. September 3, 2026

DIANE KAY (RAFFLER) SLOCUM, age 65, passed away September 1, 2026 surrounded by 
her family, after facing cancer with quiet courage for the past ten months.

Diane was born August 1, 1961, to Dutch and Jean Raffler. She graduated from 
Lakewood High School followed by nursing school, earning a bachelor's degree in 
nursing with lifelong work in healthcare. On October 10, 1982, Diane married 
Jeff Slocum. They made their home together in Woodland, where they raised their 
family. Diane enjoyed time spent with her husband, two daughters, and six 
grandchildren. She was an avid reader and puzzler whose generosity will be 
remembered by many.

Diane is survived by her husband of 45 tears, Jeff; daughters, Alexis (Justin) 
Smith and Stacy (Ben) Gangwer; grandchildren Tristan, Aiden, Alex, Bradley, 
Dylan and Shelby; sisters Debbie(Jim) Morrison, Julie (Gerald) Stahl, and Cheryl 
Raffler; sisters-in-law, JoEllen Raffler and Trudy (Dennis) Lienau; along with 
many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dutch and Jean Raffler and her 
brother, Michael Raffler.

Funeral Services are being held on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., at 
with family receiving friends from 11 until 11:30, at Lakewood Church

In lieu of flowers, donations mey be made to Manna's Market or Lakewood Church.
