SMITH, HARRY WAYNE:
   Grand Rapids Press:  "SMITH (Ionia) - Mr. Harry W. Smith, aged 37, of Ionia,
passed away September 3, 1988.  Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday
from the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia, with Rev. F. Michael Valentine officiating. 
Interment Easton Cemetery.  Visiting hours 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at
the Rich Stree Memorial Chapel.  Memorial contributions to the Ionia Area
Hospice.   COOK-IONIA"

   SENTINEL-STANDARD, Ionia, MI:
1) 9-6-1988:  "HARRY W. SMITH - IONIA - Harry W. Smith, 37, of Ionia, died
Saturday at his home.  He was born the son of Wayne and Isabelle (Treynor) Smith
on July 21, 1951 in Ionia.
   He graduated from Ionia High School in 1972.  He worked at the Ionia High
School, after he graduated, as a custodian.
   Surviving are his father, Wayne C. Smith of Ionia; one sister, Caroline
McKinnon of Greenville; two nieces and two nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his mother, Isabelle, in 1984, and his brother,
Dale, in 1986.
   Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday from the Cook Funeral Home
in Ionia, the Rev. F. Michael Valentine officiating.
   Burial will be in Easton Cemetery.
   Friends may visit the family at the Rich Street Chapel today from 2 to 4 p.m.
and 7 to 8:30 p.m.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia Area Hospice."

2) 9-8-1988:  "IONIA - Funeral services for Harry W. Smith were held at 1 p.m.
Wednesday from the Cook Funeral Home, with the Rev. F. Michael Valentine
officiating.
   Organist was Bonnie Albert.
   Burial was in Easton Cemetery.
   Pallbearers were Dan Lake, Clinton Lake, Thomas Treynor, Arnold Batchelder,
Michael McKinnon, Rance Bennett and David McKinnon.
   After services, luncheon was served to family and friends at the family
residence."

3) 9-21-1988:  "Cards of Thanks - WE WOULD like to thank Dr. Enrico Sobong,
Blodgett Oncology nurses, ETT Ambulance, Ionia Area Hospice, Bernice Falsetta,
Tim Thelen, Marian Whitford, Ila Orwig, Ionia Public Schools, Cook Funeral Home,
Rev. Michael Valentine, Bonnie Albert and all who were so kind at the time of
the loss of our son, brother, and uncle, Harry W. Smith.
   Also, a special thank you to all who sent cards, food, flowers, and
memorials.  Your sympathy and kindness will never be forgotten.  Wayne C. Smith,
Caroline & John McKinnon, Carrie, Mike, Jenny, and David McKinnon."
