The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, May 24, 1954


Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Smith of 303 Miller street, South Ionia, who 
died Wednesday evening, were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the I.H.A. 
Mission with the Rev. Earl Ritenburgh of Coleman officiating.  Bearers were 
Norbert VerPorter, George Dean, Kenneth Malokofsky, Emery Malokofsky, Larry 
Krouse and Ray Ward.  

Vocalist was Mrs. Margaret Seidelman accompany by Mrs. Phyllis Reisbig.  
C.C.W. of the Baptist church and the Friendship club of South Ionia acted as 
honorary escort.  Burial was at Highland Park cemetery.

Those from out of town who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Charles 
Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Walderman Metzger and Mrs. 
Etta Stevens of Lansing; Levi Mitchum and Mrs. Ella Woodard of Muir; Mrs. 
Leona Barlow of Flint, Mrs. Arthur Campbell of Palo, Mrs. Flora Blow and Leo 
Blow of Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Ward, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Ward and Mrs. 
Robert DeComer of Grand Rapids.
