Ionia Daily Sentinel, 20 Nov 1916

The funeral service for Supervisor F. L. Spencer was largely attended Sunday 
from the Belding Baptist church where the deceased had attended and served as a 
member of the church board.  The funeral automobile party arrived in Ionia at 
about 4:30 in the afternoon, going direct to Highland Park cemetery, where the 
remains were interred in the C. A. Ireland lot, Rev. E. E. Branch officiating 
at the grave.  After that a number of the relatives were at the Ireland home 
for dinner before retiring.
