The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, January 21, 1967


Mrs. Olive A. Stevens, 90, of 817 East Main died at Ionia County Memorial 
hospital Saturday morning following a lengthy illness.  Mrs. Stevens was born 
January 13, 1877, at Napoleon, Ohio, the daughter of David and Ellen Plummer 
Font, and lived in Ionia area 78 years.

She attended Ionia public schools and was married in 1896 to Frank Stevens who 
preceded her in death in 1949.  One brother Fred L. Font also preceded her in 
death July 14, 1966.  She is survived by one niece and two nephews.

Mrs. Stevens was a member of First Christian church, Minnie Howard club and 
Women of the Moose since 1921.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Myers funeral home with 
interment in Highland Park cemetery.  Memorial fund has been established for 
First Christian church.
