STEVENS, PHOEBE (SCOTT) (MRS. LEWIS M.):
   IONIA DAILY SENTINEL-STANDARD, MI; Aprill 22, 1961, page 2:  "MRS PHOEBE
STEVENS - SARANAC - Mrs Phoebe Stevens, a long time resident of this community
was buried from Morris funeral home Monday afternoon.
   She was born in Canada, October 14, 1876, and lived for many years on Potter
road.  She passed away in Belding hospital.
   Surviving are a step-son, Clyde Stevens of Lowell; two foster-daughters, Mrs.
Alice Chorley and Mrs. Bertha Parker of Ionia; a sister, Mrs Marjorie Chapman of
Mainitowoc, Wis.; a brother, Charles Hackley of Los Angeles, Calif.  Her husband
preceded her in death July, 1946.
   Burial was in Saranac cemetery with Rev Hubert Ellis of Cedar Springs
officiating."
