Excerpts from Belding Obituary

MICHELLE "SHELLY" SWEET-FOOTE

Died July 18, 2026-age 64 of Fenwick at home.
Born November 25, 1961 in Plainwell, daughter of Leon & Petronella "Pat" (Melis) 
Sweet.
Shelly graduated from High School & then earned her associates degrees in 
electronics.
She enjoyed  Tie-Dye, gardening, shopping, traveling as much as possible.
She liked making homemade items & giving them as gifts.
She loved John Denver Music,, Rolling Stones and Janis Joplin.
Shelly was a unique person, that will be greatly missed.
Survived by her husband, Robert Foote, their children, Adam (Nicole) Hall, 
Jasmine (Tony) Prestige-Skeltis, Brynthia Foote, Jessica Prestige, Courtney 
(Mike) Ulman, Judy (Todd) Underwood, Franchesca Foote, Robert Foote II, Colton 
Melson, 12 grandchildren, siblings; Candy (John) Page, Ken (Beth) Sweet, Glen 
Sweet, and many extended family & friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Lacie Underwood & brother, Ed 
Sweet.
Celebration of Life, "River Float" is being planned for later.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital or 
by planting a tree in her memory.
