Death of Miss Myrtle Taft.

A Graduate of Ionia High School and a General Favorite.

Miss Myrtle Taft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Taft, Ionia township, died
Tues. evening, after an illness of two weeks, during which time every effort was
made to save her life.  Her age was 20 years, and she was a graduate of the
Ionia High school class of 1908, being in the division which finished its work
Feb. 1.  She was a bright, lovable girl, and her sudden taking away brings a
wide feeling of sorrow in the community, but the great weight of sorrow, the
sorrow that will long abide, is in the home.  Although the case was serious from
the start, hope was not abandoned until yesterday morning, when she took a turn
for the worse, and failed rapidly until the end.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, at the home at one o’clock, and at
the LeValley church at 2.  Interment in Balcom cemetery.
