Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. Sept. 27, 2012

Phyllis A. Thompson, 88, of Pewamo, passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 in 
Lyons. She was born Jan. 19, 1924, in Carson City, the daughter of Mason Eugene 
and Maud (Drew) Williams.

Phyllis enjoyed classic country music, fishing, watching her great-grandson 
play sports, spending time with her family, going to the Ionia Free Fair and 
the Indiana State Fair, going to her favorite store - Walmart, watching old TV 
shows, caring for her kitty cats and enjoyed making mittens and hats for her 
grandchildren.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mason E. (Dutch) (Clara) 
Williams of Lyons; grandsons, Mark and Mike Williams; granddaughter, Sherry 
Williams (Dave Waldron); great-grandson, Jose Moreno (Taylor Bennett); nieces, 
nephews, cousins and special nephew, John F. Williams, who lived with her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Lloyd, Charles and Jim; and 
sister and brother-in-law, Estella and John Jugovich.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at the Moose Lodge in 
Ionia with a luncheon after.
