Deaths in the State.
PORTLAND Mich., Dec 20 - Oliver Toan of Portland, one of the wealthiest farmers
and most extensive land owners in this section, died at St. Johns, yesterday.
Two weeks ago he fell down stairs in a business block in that city receiving
injuries that resulted in his death. His was one of the oldest settlers in Ionia
county.

Additional Comments:
Oliver was the son of Mary and Robert Toan. The family is buried in the Portland
Cemetery.
