Greenville Daily News, 17 May 1978

Bert C. Tower, 79, 12537 Belding Rd., died Tuesday at Belding Community
Hospital.  Mr. Tower was born July 24, 1898, in Grattan Township.  He was a
veteran of World War I and a member of United Methodist Church and DAV Chapter 106.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Elaine) Phenix, Belding, Mrs. Paul
(Mary) Kovacs, Edwardsburg; a son, R. C. Tower, Panama City, Fla.; five
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Huffman Funeral Home, Belding, the
Rev. Luther Brokaw officiating.  Interment will be in Otisco Cemetery 
Visitation will be tonight and Thursday from 7 to 8:30 at the funeral home.
