The Ionia Standard, Friday, May 9, 1884

Mrs. Samuel M. Train died last week at Pavilion, Kalamazoo county, aged eighty-
two years.  She was a sister of Mrs. Edson English, of South Boston.  She 
settled in Comstock, Kalamazoo county, in 1854, where she lived two years and 
then moved to Campbell, Ionia county, where she remained twenty years.  In 
1874, they settled in Pavilion, Kalamazoo county.  She was the mother of nine 
children, and one of a family of nine girls, who all lived to an unusual age, 
Mrs. English being now eighty-six.
