Mathilda S. "Tillie" Trierweiler, 92, died May 5, 1999.

Mrs. Trierweiler was born in Westphalia, Aug. 31, 1906, the daughter of Fred ad 
Gertrude (Luchenbach) Feldpausch. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in

Portland and its Altar Society and the Portland VFW Post 4090 Ladies Auxiliary. She

was honored as Portland's Centennial Queen in 1969 at the age of 62. She loved 
attending sporting events and playing cards, especially euchre and cribbage.

Surviving are sons, Kenneth, and Patrick, both of Portland, Charles of Pewamo, Roger

"Butch" (Sandy) of Trufant, Victor Jr. (Donna) of Traverse City; daughters, Gladys 
(Dale) Stiffler) of Portland, Rosalyn Bengel of Westphalia, and Kay Sillman of 
Fowler; son-in-law, George "Harvey" Burgoyne; 44 grandchildren; 77 great-
grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Esther Schrauben and 
Gertrude Trierweiler, both of Portland; sisters-in-law, Doris Feldpausch and Bertha

Schrauben; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor (1975); daughters, Mary Ann (1964)

and Eileen (1994); daughters-in-law, Patty Trierweiler and Jean Trierweiler (1996);

sons-in-law Barry Sillman (1988) and Thomas Bengel (1983); two grandchildren; and 
one great-grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 8 with the Rev. Charles D. Hall of St. 
Patrick Church officiating, Rite of Committal followed at Portland Cemetery.
