Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. July 19, 1951

RITES MONDAY FOR DANIEL VAN HOUTEN
Daniel W. (Chubb) Van Houten, 87, route 3 Lake Odessa passed away at the Taylor 
Convalescent home in Ionia Friday where he had been a patient about a week.

Mr. Van Houten owned and operated a store at "Old Rosina" for many years and the 
building was moved across the road to its present location on  M-66 when the road
was improved.

Surviving are his wife Anna and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 at the Pickens Chapel with burial in Lakeside
Cemetery. Rev. Glenn Peck officiated.
