The deceased had been in poor health for nearly a year and for the past three or four months had been confined to her room with cancer. Mrs. VanVickle and her husband, Fred VanVickle, who survives her, have been residents here more than 20 years. In her younger days she was a teacher and taught many terms of school in Ohio and Michigan. The funeral service was held at the late residence today, conducted by Rev. J. A. Baynton. Besides her husband she leaves one daughter, Mrs. Chas. Moore of Belding. Recently she called for Rev. J. A. Baynton and made a confession of faith in Christianity. She knew the end of her life was approaching and made every arrangement for the final hour, also arranging and making distribution of her property interests. Interment was in River Ridge cemetery.
